Butterfleye is something that might be of interest, if you’re looking to monitor the activity inside your house or apartment. Described as a smart and versatile monitoring camera, Butterfleye is finally bringing up a solution for not having to record empty rooms for a full 24-hour day. After all, the idea is to be notified whenever something happens or at least to be able to go through all the unusual activity inside your home. And that’s what Butterfleye seeks to achieve with its cute looking monitoring camera. Butterfleye uses its own Activity Based Recording technology to record when sound or movement is detected, thus saving energy, storage, and bandwidth. So instead of recording hours and hours of useless content, it only records those events that are really important. When the camera doesn’t record, it moves to a lower power, idle state which allows it to last weeks between charges. Butterfleye is wireless and comes with 12 hours of internal storage space. What’s nice is that it doesn’t always need a WiFi connection to work, so once it’s back online, it will start uploading what it has recorded. At the moment, the cheapest price for one unit is $199, which is $60 off the final retail price and come with an estimated delivery in this December.
