Display
In terms of display, the Play 4T features a 6.39-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a 269ppi pixel density and a punch-hole cutout on the top right to house the selfie camera. On the other hand, the Play 4T Pro comes with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ OLED panel with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication.
Performance
Talking about performance, the Honor Play 4T is powered by the company’s in-house Kirin 710A chipset (with ARM Mali-G51 GPU), coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Whereas, the 4T Pro, on the other hand, has a Kirin 810 processor (with Mali-G52 MP6 GPU) running under the hood, paired with 6GB / 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Further, both phones come with support for microSD cards and can be expanded up to 512GB. To power the internals, the two devices share the same 4000mAh capacity battery. However, the 4T comes with 10W charging support, while the 4T Pro offers fast charging at 22.5W. For connectivity, both phones come with support for dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and Bluetooth 5.0 LE. Among other things, the Play 4T features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for authentication, compared to the in-display fingerprint scanner on the Pro model. On the software front, the Play 4T runs on Honor’s MagicUI 3.1 based on Android 10. Whereas, the 4T Pro runs on Magic UI 2.1 based on Android 9, out of the box.
Camera
In the camera department, the Play 4T sports a dual-camera setup on the rear, which includes a 48MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary sensor. Whereas, its elder sibling, the 4T Pro, offers triple cameras on the rear, with a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.4) secondary sensor, and a 2MP (f/2.4) tertiary sensor. Coming to the front, the regular 4T comes with an 8MP camera housed within the hole-punch cutout, while the Pro has a 16MP selfie shooter.
Honor Play 4T and 4T Pro: Pricing and Availability
The Honor Play 4T comes in one configuration: 6GB + 128GB, priced at CNY 1199 (~ USD 170), while the 4T Pro offers two configurations: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB, priced at CNY 1499 (~ USD 212) and CNY 1699 (~ USD 241), respectively.
