Enable Dark Mode on WhatsApp (Android)
Considering you have the latest Beta version of WhatsApp (2.20.13 or later) running on your Android phone, here are the steps to enable dark mode on the app –
Open WhatsApp, tap on the three vertical dots, and select Settings.
Here, go to Chats, and under Display, tap on Theme.
Finally, under Theme, you will be presented with three options to choose a theme:
i. System Default – sets the WhatsApp theme based on the UI theme of your device. ii. Light – sets the default theme with a white background. iii. Dark – sets the app to use a dark theme with a black background throughout the app. 4. Finally, select Dark and hit Ok.
That’s it! By now, you must have the dark mode set on your WhatsApp. And it should be accessible across the app for different sections, including the various settings, chats, calls, etc. However, in case you still can’t get the dark mode running on your WhatsApp, you should try uninstalling and then reinstalling the WhatsApp Beta app.
