According to a fresh press release sent out by Apple, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available in India, Malaysia and Turkey on Friday, October 16 and in over 130 countries by the end of the year. As it was expected, Apple has announced it has sold more than 13 million new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models in the launch weekend, which is another amazing new record for the coming. Apple also informed that the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available in more than 40 additional countries beginning October 9 including Italy, Mexico, Russia, Spain and Taiwan. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, said the following: “Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,. Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9.” The new iPhone generation comes with a couple of important improvements, such as the new Multi-Touch interface with 3D Touch, Live Photos, 12-megapixel iSight camera and 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera with Retina Flash, the new A9 chip, stronger glass and more resistant 7000 series aluminum, along with a new rose gold metallic finish. Another novelty for this year’s new iPhones is the fact that customers can now buy them directly from Apple in 24 monthly payments starting at $27 (US) and $31 (US). For the time being, this is only available to US residents. But who knows, maybe in the following years we’ll see this being offered to Indian users, as well.
