As already mentioned, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G is a follow up to the Snapdragon 730G. The latest from Qualcomm emphasizes more on the gaming aspect of the device and will power the mid-range smartphones. When compared to the 730G, the 732G promises to offer better AI and gaming performance, with upgraded CPU and GPU. To give you a quick rundown, the Snapdragon 732G offers the Kryo 470 prime cores, clocked at 2.3GHz. For graphics processing, the chipset comes with Adreno 618 GPU, which promises better graphics rendering. Besides improvements in CPU and GPU, it also comes with improvements and add-ons in the gaming performance. For instance, Qualcomm says it has added support for certain Snapdragon Elite Gaming experiences on the new chipset that will offer users ‘seamless and ultra-realistic’ gameplay. The Snapdragon 732G also boasts improvements in the AI performance, and it comes with the 4th-generation Qualcomm AI Engine, which promises to assist with ‘intuitive interactions’ and ‘predictive user experiences’. In addition, the overall AI performance is also claimed to be twice as powerful as previous generations — all of which lead to better power efficiency. When it comes to connectivity, the Snapdragon 732G features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X15 LTE modem, which, as per the claims, offers better and faster LTE and Wi-Fi performance. Besides the specifications bit, one of the interesting outcomes that follow the announcement is the collaboration between Qualcomm and Poco, wherein, the two are working together to introduce a Snapdragon 732G powered Poco smartphone globally.
