Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s: Design and Display
In terms of design, The A30s and A50s come with a geometric pattern and holographic effect on their back, that reflects light at different angles to give random color effects. Both smartphones come in three color options: Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, and Prism Crush Violet. The Samsung Galaxy A30s features a 6.4-inch HD+ (1560 x 720 pixels) Infinity-V Super AMOLED display on the front, compared to the 6.4-inch (2340 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display on A50s. The display also allows for an in-display fingerprint scanner, over the traditional rear-mounted fingerprint scanners, for authentication.
Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s: Performance
At its core, the Galaxy A30s comes with a 14nm Octa-Core Exynos 7904 processor with Mali-G71 GPU, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (expandable up to 512GB with micro SD card). Whereas, the A50s has a 10nm Octa-Core Exynos 9611 processor with Mali-G72 GPU running under the hood, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage (expandable up to 512GB with micro SD card). Both smartphones run on Android 9.0 Pie (with One UI) and have the same 4000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s: Camera
For optics, both smartphones share a triple-rear camera setup on the rear. The Galaxy A30s sports a 25MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, with LED flash, on the rear. And, a 16MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
On the other hand, the A50s comes with a 48MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, with LED flash, on the rear. And, a 32MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies. Samsung says the Super Steady feature on the ultra-wide sensor allows for smooth, flawless videos, even for fast-paced action moments.
Samsung Galaxy A30s and A50s: Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A30s only comes in one configuration: 4GB + 64GB, and is priced at INR 16,999. Whereas, the Galaxy 50s comes in two configurations: 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB, priced at INR 22,999 and INR 24,999 respectively. Both the smartphones will be available starting September 11 across offline channels, Samsung Opera House, Samsung e-shop, and other e-commerce stores.
